Sustainable Projects in Africa

Welcome...

saltpetertrust is a Christian charity working with needy communities in urban and rural Uganda to alleviate extreme poverty.
Since 2002 we have been helping some of the poorest in society to become self-reliant by providing healthcare and educational support as well as giving training and assistance to establish income generating projects.
We work in partnership with local communities, through community leaders because we believe local knowledge is paramount in finding solutions to problems local people face.
We work with some of the most vulnerable groups in society, including children orphaned by war and families affected by HIV/AIDS, the majority of whom survive on less than $1 a day.
